Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What shoe size is a newborn baby?

Size 1, which is about 3.5 inches long, is the standard size for newborns up to three months. Size 2 will be appropriate between three and six months. Sizes 4.5 and 5 are usually worn by babies around one year of age. Repeatedly measuring your baby’s feet is important because each baby develops at his or her own pace.

How often do kids need new shoes?

There is no right answer, as it depends on several factors, such as the child’s age, activity level and foot size. However, generally speaking, most children need a new pair of shoes every three or four months.

How can I prevent my child from getting blisters from new shoes?

There are several things you can do to prevent blisters when your child first gets a new pair of shoes. First, make sure the shoes fit properly. There should be a thumb’s width of space between the end of the shoe and your child’s longest toe. Second, have him wear thick socks with the new shoes to help reduce friction. Finally, go slowly at first and have your child wear the shoes for short periods of time until they have a chance to get used to them.
